Cisco/Meraki Licensing 'Fun'

We had some fun and games when it came to renewing our license for our Cisco Meraki networking infrastructure. After applying the license the dashboard was complaining that one of our devices still was unlicensed.

Turns out when renewing your licenses for your Cisco Meraki devices you should buy a single key that covers the renewal of all of the devices. If you try to use the 'Renew' option when applying multiple licenses the dashboard will get confused and will only recognize the most recently applied license.

If you do have multiple licenses, the trick is to apply the first license as a Renewal, then subsequent licenses using the 'license more devices' option. What a palaver!

Fortunately for us the very helpful support engineer was able to fix up our licensing problems and all is now well until the next time we have to renew, we forget all this, and most likely go through the same situation again.
